The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the complete schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier, confirming that Nepal will host the entire tournament.

The qualifier will feature 10 teams competing for four remaining spots at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is scheduled to take place in England during June and July 2026.

Tournament Dates and Venues

Qualifier matches will run from January 18 to February 1, while warm-up games will be held on January 14 and 16. All fixtures will be staged across three venues in Nepal:

  • Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground

  • Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground

  • Lower Mulpani Cricket Ground

Group Allocation

The 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five:

Group A:
Bangladesh, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, United States

Group B:
Nepal, Netherlands, Scotland, Thailand, Zimbabwe

Group Stage Overview

The tournament will begin on January 18, with the USA facing Bangladesh at Upper Mulpani. On the same day, Ireland will take on Papua New Guinea, while hosts Nepal open their campaign against Thailand. Zimbabwe and the Netherlands will also clash on the opening day.

During the group phase, four matches will be played every alternate day, with the group stage concluding on January 26. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage.

Super Six Stage

The Super Six matches will be played on January 28, January 30, and February 1. At the end of this stage, four teams will qualify for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Officials said the qualifier provides a crucial pathway for emerging and established teams to secure a place on the world stage, with competitive cricket expected throughout the tournament.
