The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has issued a clarification rejecting reports circulating on social media about a complete gas shutdown in Karachi until January 5.
In an official statement, an SSGC spokesperson said that no new announcement has been made regarding gas supply suspension for domestic consumers, adding that gas services will continue as per the existing schedule.
The spokesperson further clarified that the ongoing night-time load management in Karachi remains unchanged. Under the current arrangement, gas supply is reduced from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am, and any fluctuation during these hours is strictly in line with the pre-approved night load management plan.
SSGC urged consumers not to rely on unverified information and advised the public to follow official company channels for accurate updates related to gas supply.
