The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has once again announced a temporary suspension of gas supply to the industrial sector, citing the need to improve pressure for domestic and commercial consumers.
According to an official spokesperson, gas supply to industries will remain suspended for 24 hours, starting from 8:00 am on January 11 until 8:00 am on January 12.
SSGC officials said the decision was taken to ensure better gas pressure for household and commercial users, particularly during the cold weather, when demand increases significantly and consumers often face shortages.
The company confirmed that industrial gas supply will remain completely shut until the specified time, raising concerns among industrial stakeholders about potential disruptions to production and operations.
Industry representatives have expressed reservations over the repeated shutdowns and have urged authorities to find a long-term solution to the ongoing gas crisis, warning that frequent suspensions could harm industrial output.
SSGC officials stated that gas supply to industries will be restored as soon as the situation stabilizes, assuring stakeholders that the suspension is temporary and aimed at managing peak demand during winter conditions.
