The district administration of Ghotki has officially declared Wednesday, November 19, 2026, as a local holiday to mark the 65th Annual Urs of Sufi Faqeer Syed Anwar Ali Shah Bukhari Sarwari al Qadiri. The announcement was made through a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani.
According to the circular, all government offices, institutions, and educational establishments across Ghotki will remain closed. Only essential services will continue to operate as usual.

Holiday Announced in Honor of the Annual Urs
The Urs attracts thousands of devotees from the region, and the administration has exercised its authority to facilitate the event. The notification has been shared with major provincial and district offices, including the Chief Secretary of Sindh, Commissioner Sukkur Division, SSP Ghotki, Regional Director Information Sukkur, FM 91 Ghotki, and the Director of Private Schools.
Authorities have instructed all departments to ensure the holiday announcement is widely publicized for the convenience of residents.
