A high-level meeting chaired by the Punjab Chief Minister reviewed progress on the Ramzan Nigehban and Maryam Nawaz Ration Card initiatives aimed at supporting registered labourers across the province.
Officials shared that millions of workers are already benefiting from a monthly ration subsidy of Rs. 3,000 under the scheme.
Special Ramzan Assistance
During the holy month of Ramadan, each registered labourer will receive Rs. 10,000 under the ration card program as additional financial support. The announcement was made during the meeting as part of broader relief measures.
Monitoring of Field Offices
The Punjab Social Security Institution has directed all field offices to ensure strict monitoring and continuous reporting. Authorities emphasized that negligence or delays in service delivery will not be tolerated.
Faster Card Distribution
Officials also reviewed steps to speed up the distribution of Maryam Nawaz Ration Cards to ensure timely relief for eligible families.
