More than 30,000 educational institutions across Punjab, including schools, colleges, and universities, have been connected to the Safe City security system. This integration allows the security status of all institutions to be monitored with just a click.
Under this initiative, a Virtual Centre for Educational Security has been made operational. Around 130,000 teachers and security staff have been registered across these institutions.

⚡ How the System Works
-
Institution representatives are required to update the security status three times a day via the Public Safety App.
-
In case of any threat or emergency, automatic alerts will be triggered.
-
Educational institutions’ CCTV cameras are being integrated into the Safe City system for real-time monitoring.
-
Installation of panic buttons in schools and colleges is in its final stages.
Authorities believe that the Virtual Centre for Educational Security will not only improve safety but also help in investigating incidents and emergencies across Punjab’s educational institutions.
