The Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme has officially been launched across Sindh, with the distribution ceremony held at NED University, Karachi. Under the initiative, 20,000 laptops will be provided to students across the province.

Federal Government Spokesperson for Sindh Affairs, Raja Khaliq Zaman Ansari, said the scheme is designed to equip students with modern tools essential for education in today’s digital age. He emphasized that youth education is a cornerstone of national development.
Ansari noted that the laptop scheme, which was discontinued in 2018, has now been restored by the current federal government with a renewed focus on transparency and effective implementation.
Supporting Research and Advanced Learning
According to Ansari, the distribution of laptops will help students in research, information technology, and advanced academic learning. He credited the leadership of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme for successfully reviving the initiative.
He further stated that the federal government is taking concrete measures to ensure that students in Sindh are fully included in national education and technology-driven programs.
