Pakistan’s probable squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is beginning to take shape, with sources suggesting that the final list could be locked in after key consultations later this week.

According to insiders, white-ball head coach Mike Hesson is expected to arrive in Lahore following the conclusion of Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka. Final discussions will take place between the coaching staff and national selectors before the squad is sent for approval to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Sources confirm that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already submitted a preliminary squad list to the ICC. However, the board retains the flexibility to make changes until January 31, without needing formal ICC approval — leaving room for last-minute adjustments.

Pakistan’s T20I squad is currently returning home after the Sri Lanka series, with captain Salman Ali Agha also expected to be involved in discussions as the management fine-tunes team combinations ahead of the global event.
