The Pakistan cricket team’s official kit unveiling for the ICC T20 World Cup has been cancelled, sources have confirmed.
According to insiders, the unveiling ceremony was expected to take place after the toss of the second T20 match today, but the event was called off due to unavoidable reasons.
Participation Decision Still Pending
Sources suggest that the delay in a final decision regarding Pakistan’s participation or a possible boycott of the T20 World Cup may be a key reason behind the cancellation.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has already stated that a final decision on participation is expected by Friday or Monday.
It is worth noting that on January 26, Mohsin Naqvi met Prime Minister and PCB Patron-in-Chief Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, where consultations were held on this important matter.
Tournament Details
The ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on February 7, and as per the tournament schedule, Pakistan will play all of its matches in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
