As Basant celebrations approach, markets in Lahore are witnessing a major surge in business, particularly in kite and string sales.
According to the Kite Flying Association, more than Rs 1.22 billion worth of kite string (dor gudi) has been sold in just four days, reflecting massive public enthusiasm.
High Demand for Kites and Accessories
Market sources say over one million kites have already been sold. On the fourth day alone, more than 20,000 spools (pannay) of string were purchased.
