The local automobile market is set to see another addition as Omoda & Jaecoo has officially confirmed the introduction of a new vehicle in Pakistan.
In an announcement shared on the company’s official Facebook page, the brand revealed that the upcoming model will be the Jaecoo J5 HEV, further expanding its presence in the country’s growing SUV segment.

According to the company, the Jaecoo J5 HEV will feature a range of modern technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), adaptive cruise control, a panoramic moonroof, and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technology. However, no details regarding pricing or the official launch timeline have been disclosed so far.
The announcement marks another step in the brand’s expansion strategy in Pakistan. Omoda & Jaecoo entered the local market in August with two electric SUVs, followed by the introduction of a locally assembled plug-in hybrid SUV in October.
Powertrain and Segment Positioning
Based on available information, the Jaecoo J5 HEV is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with a hybrid powertrain. The model is positioned to compete in the compact hybrid crossover SUV segment, which is gradually gaining traction among Pakistani buyers.
Safety and Technology Features
International variants of the Jaecoo J5 HEV offer a strong safety package, including six airbags, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control (ESP), a 540-degree camera system, and tyre pressure monitoring.
Global specifications also highlight premium comfort and convenience features such as leather seats, electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, power tailgate, and a panoramic moonroof. The infotainment setup includes a 13.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
While local specifications may vary, the confirmed announcement suggests that Omoda & Jaecoo is positioning the Jaecoo J5 HEV as a feature-rich hybrid option for Pakistani consumers seeking efficiency, safety, and modern design.
