Pakistan will observe a nationwide public holiday on February 5 in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, reaffirming support for the Kashmiri people and acknowledging their long-standing struggle against oppression.
Across the country, a range of activities will be organized to express unity with Kashmiris. These include rallies, peace walks, seminars, and special prayer gatherings, while human chains are also expected to be formed at various locations as a symbol of national solidarity.

On this day, government and private offices, educational institutions, and most commercial centers will remain closed nationwide. The government has instructed state institutions and the media to highlight the Kashmir issue effectively and enhance awareness at both national and international levels. Special programs will be aired on television and radio, focusing on the historical background of the dispute and the current situation in the region.
To ensure the peaceful observance of the day, security arrangements are likely to be tightened in major cities. Law enforcement agencies will remain on high alert during rallies and public gatherings.
Political and religious leaders are expected to address various events, reiterating the demand that the Kashmir issue be resolved in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions, while emphasizing Pakistan’s continued diplomatic and moral support for the Kashmiri cause.
