NADRA Launches New Service for CNIC Reprint and Renewal — Charges Revealed

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new service to facilitate citizens seeking reprints or renewals of lost CNICs, introducing a pilot project through selected e-Sahulat franchises.

The initiative aims to reduce crowding at NADRA registration centers and provide identity services closer to citizens’ homes. Under the pilot phase, CNIC reprint and renewal services will initially be available at 18 selected e-Sahulat franchises in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi.

According to NADRA, each participating franchise will have a designated NADRA officer on site. Citizens will be able to access services by paying the standard NADRA fee, along with an additional Rs. 100 as an e-Sahulat service charge.

NADRA said Pakistan has over 22,000 e-Sahulat franchises nationwide, with more than 9,500 equipped with biometric facilities, ensuring access for illiterate citizens and those who do not use smartphones.

The authority added that if the pilot project proves successful, the service will be expanded across the country, significantly reducing congestion at NADRA centers and saving citizens time and travel costs.

A complete list of participating e-Sahulat franchises has been made available on NADRA’s official website and social media platforms.
