The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has decided to introduce a major reform in its electricity bill recovery mechanism by shifting the entire collection system to 1LINK.
According to LESCO officials, the move aims to improve financial transparency, faster fund transfers, and better monitoring of bill recoveries across the company’s service areas.
How the New System Will Work
Under the new arrangement, electricity bill payments collected through banks and digital channels connected to 1LINK will be credited directly and instantly into LESCO’s accounts. This will eliminate delays currently faced during fund verification and settlement.
At present, bill collections pass through multiple stages, often taking several hours before reaching LESCO’s accounts. The 1LINK-based system will streamline this process into a single, real-time transaction flow.
