The Sports Department Punjab has intensified preparations for the first major sports event of the year, announcing that Lahore’s largest cycling race and cycling ride will take place on January 25.
Registration for the event is currently underway, attracting strong interest from cycling enthusiasts across the city.
Separate Races for Girls and Boys
According to officials, the mega event will feature separate cycling races for girls and boys, promoting inclusivity and encouraging wider participation in sports activities. Families will also be able to participate in the cycling ride, making it a community-friendly sporting event.
Provincial Sports Minister to Join the Ride
Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, will personally take part in the cycling ride, highlighting the government’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and grassroots sports culture.
More than 500 cyclists are expected to participate, making it one of the largest cycling events ever held in Lahore.
Route and Event Details
The cycling ride will start from Liberty Chowk (Manal) and conclude at the National Hockey Stadium, passing through key city routes under full administrative arrangements.
Several sports personalities and officials will be present at the event, adding to its significance and visibility.
Officials believe the event will not only encourage physical fitness but also strengthen Lahore’s position as a hub for major sporting activities in Punjab.
