KP Auctions Most Expensive Vehicle Number Plates, Generates Rs. 5.81 Crore

The Excise and Taxation Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has successfully completed the auction of 11 premium vehicle number plates in Peshawar, generating a total revenue of Rs. 5.81 crore.

The auction attracted strong interest from bidders, with several plates selling at exceptionally high prices.

Most Expensive Number Plates Sold

The highest bid of the auction was recorded for Wazir-1, which was sold for Rs. 1.5 crore, making it the most expensive number plate in this auction round.

Other high-value sales included:

  • Afridi-1 – Rs. 1.40 crore

  • Khan-1 – Rs. 1.11 crore

  • Peshawar-1 – Rs. 1 crore

Other Plates and Final Bids

Additional premium plates were sold at the following prices:

  • Haripur-1 – Rs. 80 lakh

  • Yusufzai-1 – Rs. 49 lakh

  • Durrani-1 – Rs. 16.6 lakh

  • Swabi-1 – Rs. 12 lakh

  • Malakand-1 – Rs. 12 lakh

  • DI Khan-1 – Rs. 11 lakh

  • Gandapur-1 – Rs. 10.8 lakh

The base price for all number plates had been fixed at Rs. 10 lakh, ensuring competitive bidding throughout the auction.

Imran Khan-Related Plates Not Auctioned

Officials confirmed that two number plates associated with former Prime Minister Imran Khan“Imran Khan-1” and “Imran Khan-804” — were not included in this auction round.

No timeline has been announced regarding their possible auction in the future.

Growing Demand for Premium Plates

Authorities stated that the rising demand for personalized and premium vehicle number plates reflects increasing interest among buyers, while also contributing significantly to provincial revenue generation.

The department indicated that similar auctions may be held in the future based on public interest.
