IESCO Announces Power Outage Schedule

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a temporary power suspension across several areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and surrounding regions due to system maintenance and development work.

According to an official spokesperson, the scheduled outages will take place on January 26, 2026, as part of efforts to improve electricity infrastructure and ensure long-term supply stability.

Islamabad & Rawalpindi Power Outage Timings

In the Islamabad and Rawalpindi City Circles, electricity will remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in multiple feeders, including TDCP, MCM, Gharial, Patriata, PAF, Raja Sultan, Westridge, Gawalmandi, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, and surrounding localities.

Meanwhile, in the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle and nearby areas, power will remain unavailable from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, affecting Macca Chowk, State Bank, Dhok Noor, Kohala, Mandra, Gujar Khan, and several other feeders.

Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum Regions to Face Shutdown

IESCO has also confirmed power suspension in Attock Circle, including Ghazi Kohli, Margalla, Sangjani, Pindi Gheb City, Noorpur, and nearby areas.

In Chakwal Circle, feeders such as Kot Chaudhrian, Dhudial City, Lilla Town, Basharat, Dalwal, and K.S. Mines will be affected.

Similarly, Jhelum Circle areas including New Cantt, CMH Jhelum, Citi Housing, Shamasabad, Guliana, and Kanggar Thathi will experience temporary power cuts during the maintenance period.

GSO Circle & Azad Kashmir Areas Also Impacted

The GSO Circle will face outages between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, impacting Charhoi, Sehnsa, Fateh Pur, and Khui Ratta feeders.

Additionally, surrounding areas such as Datot, Jandrot, Mohra, and Karala will also be affected during scheduled hours.

IESCO’s Message to Consumers

IESCO has urged consumers to cooperate during the maintenance work, stating that these upgrades are essential for reducing future breakdowns and improving service quality.

Residents are advised to plan their daily activities accordingly, keep backup power options ready, and follow official IESCO channels for any last-minute updates.
