The International Cricket Council has imposed a fine on Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah after finding him guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the International League T20 final.
The incident occurred during the Season 4 final of the tournament, played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where Naseem was representing Desert Vipers against MI Emirates. The ICC confirmed that the 22-year-old was found guilty of a Level 1 offence, resulting in a fine equal to 10 percent of his match fee.

According to officials, Naseem violated Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to using gestures, language, or behavior that could provoke or insult a batter after a dismissal or during play.
The moment took place in the 11th over of the match when MI Emirates captain Kieron Pollard defended a delivery that returned directly to the bowler. Naseem picked up the ball and looked toward Pollard with a smile, prompting an aggressive reaction from the batter. A brief verbal exchange followed, with both players stepping toward each other before umpires and teammates intervened to defuse the situation.
Later in the match, Naseem dismissed Pollard in the 16th over, adding another dramatic moment to the contest.
Despite the incident, Desert Vipers went on to secure a 46-run victory, claiming their first-ever International League T20 title.
