The expansion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) officially got underway as FKS Group acquired the league’s seventh franchise for Rs. 175 crore, selecting Hyderabad as the team’s home city.
Auction Held in Islamabad
The bidding process for two new PSL teams is taking place at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad, marking a major step in the league’s growth ahead of the 2026 season.
The auction ceremony is being attended by Pakistan Cricket Board officials, including PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and PSL CEO. Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram is moderating the auction proceedings.
