24/7 Duty Roster During Basant
Sources revealed that from 6 to 8 February 2026, line staff, P&I teams, and maintenance staff will perform 24-hour duties to ensure smooth power supply and immediate response to any faults.
As part of safety measures, protective safety nets have been installed at grid stations to minimize risks caused by kite flying.
Public Safety Appeal by LESCO CEO
LESCO Chief Executive Officer Engineer Muhammad Ramzan Butt urged the public to avoid using metallic kite strings, warning that they pose serious risks to both public safety and electricity infrastructure.
He emphasized that LESCO’s top priority during Basant is to maintain uninterrupted electricity supply while ensuring the safety of citizens.
