The federal government has decided to reduce electricity prices, providing relief to consumers across Pakistan.
According to official notifications, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has approved a reduction of Rs. 0.93 per unit under the Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) mechanism. The cut is based on fuel cost data for November, and the revised rates have now been formally notified.

Following the approval, power distribution companies including LESCO have been directed to implement the reduction in consumer bills. The relief will apply to electricity units consumed during November.
Officials confirmed that the reduced amount will be clearly mentioned on electricity bills, allowing consumers to see the impact of the fuel price adjustment directly.
Fuel Price Adjustment is a monthly mechanism used to pass on changes in global fuel costs to electricity consumers. Lower fuel costs during the relevant period led to the latest reduction.
The decision is expected to provide temporary financial relief to households and businesses amid ongoing inflationary pressures.
