Cold, Dry Weather to Continue Across Most Parts of Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather for most parts of the country, while very cold conditions are expected to persist in hilly and mountainous regions.

According to the latest weather advisory, moderate to dense fog is likely to affect plain areas of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly during morning and night hours.

Weather Outlook for Sunday

The Met Office said that Islamabad and surrounding areas are expected to remain cold and dry.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience cold and dry conditions, while very cold weather is likely in mountainous areas during morning and night hours. However, fog is expected in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan and nearby areas.

The PMD also warned that rain with thunderstorm may occur during the evening or night in Kalam, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, and surrounding areas, with snowfall expected over the mountains.

Punjab Weather

Most districts in Punjab are likely to remain cold and dry. Murree, Galiyat, and nearby areas will experience very cold conditions.

Moderate to dense fog is expected in several districts, including Sialkot, Narowal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Shorkot, Multan, Kot Addu, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.

Sindh Weather

Most parts of Sindh will see cold and dry weather, while fog is likely during morning and night hours in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mohenjo Daro, and surrounding areas.

Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan

In Balochistan, cold and dry weather is expected across most districts, with very cold conditions in northern areas during morning and night hours.

The weather in Azad Kashmir is forecast to remain very cold and dry.

Meanwhile, Gilgit-Baltistan may experience cloudy conditions, with rain and snowfall over mountainous regions.
