The District Administration of Nankana Sahib has clarified that Basant 2026 will only take place in Lahore this year.
An important meeting on kite flying regulations was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar Rao. Officials from the Additional Deputy Commissioner General, police, and other agencies attended to discuss safety measures and enforcement strategies.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar Rao said:
“For the safety of citizens, kite flying and manufacturing are banned in Nankana Sahib. Basant will only take place in Lahore, and strict enforcement of the ban will be ensured.”
