In a first-of-its-kind move, the Balochistan government has introduced a fast-track recruitment system for government jobs, marking a historic shift in public sector hiring in Quetta.
For the first time in the province’s history, candidates applying for government positions appeared in online tests and received appointment letters within just one hour on the same day.

According to officials, recruitment has begun for 111 government posts in the Finance Department, strictly on a merit-based and paperless system. Candidates are assessed through online testing to ensure transparency and fair evaluation of skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarfraz Bugti said the initiative represents a major milestone in ensuring merit, transparency, and accountability in government hiring. He stated that the reform process has started with the Finance Department and will be gradually extended to all government recruitments across the province.
The Chief Minister emphasized that jobs will neither be sold nor influenced by favoritism, adding that corruption and nepotism will not be tolerated under the new system. He said merit and transparency are central to the government’s governance model and commitments made to the public.
Officials described the initiative as a historic reform in Balochistan’s recruitment system, aimed at restoring public trust and providing equal opportunities to qualified candidates through technology-driven processes.
