All schools across Punjab will reopen according to the regular schedule following the recent holidays, authorities confirmed.
Background of the Break
The provincial government had earlier announced a local holiday in Lahore on Basant based on recommendations from the district administration. The move aimed to help citizens participate in festivities safely.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had explained that a long weekend was formed due to:
- February 5 Kashmir Day holiday
- Provincial holiday on February 6
- Regular Saturday and Sunday weekend
National Holiday Context
The February 5 holiday was observed nationwide to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Official notifications were issued for closure of public institutions.
Schools Now Reopening
With the holidays concluded, educational institutions across Punjab will now operate normally as per their usual schedule.
