Broiler chicken meat prices have remained unchanged in the market, offering temporary price stability for consumers. However, complaints of overcharging at retail outlets continue despite officially fixed rates.
According to official notifications, the government-approved price of broiler chicken meat has been set at Rs. 595 per kilogram. Market observations suggest that many sellers are still charging higher prices than the notified rate.

Official Broiler Chicken Rates
The officially fixed rates for broiler chicken are as follows:
-
Farm gate live rate: Rs. 383 per kg
-
Wholesale live rate: Rs. 397 per kg
-
Retail live rate: Rs. 411 per kg
Despite these rates, consumers report that chicken meat is being sold above the approved price in several areas.
Egg Prices Update
On the other hand, farm egg prices have also been fixed, with:
-
Eggs (per dozen): Rs. 321
-
Egg tray (wholesale): Rs. 9,510
Market sources say that while prices are stable for now, effective monitoring and enforcement are needed to control overcharging and ensure relief reaches consumers.
Shoppers have urged authorities to take action against violators so that official price controls are properly implemented.
