The Punjab Government has finalized the eligibility criteria for Phase-III of the Chief Minister Punjab Green Tractor Scheme, aimed at supporting farmers and promoting agricultural mechanization across the province.
According to Chaudhary Khalid Mahmood, only farmers who meet strict conditions will be considered for the scheme to ensure transparency and fair distribution of subsidies.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:

Be permanent residents of Punjab

Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)

Own at least five acres of verified agricultural land
Land ownership will be confirmed through official revenue records and field verification conducted by the Agriculture Department.
Who Is Not Eligible
The director clarified that farmers who:

Previously received subsidized tractors under Phase-I or Phase-II of the Green Tractor Scheme
-
Benefited from the Wheat Incentive Program
-
Defaulted under the Kisan Card facility
will not be eligible to apply under Phase-III.
Key Conditions for Selected Farmers

The tractor must remain registered in the beneficiary’s name for at least three years

Sale or transfer of the tractor will be strictly prohibited during this period

Only tractors with 50 to 65 horsepower can be selected
Selection and Payment Process
Successful applicants will be chosen through a digital balloting system. Farmers selected in the draw will be required to deposit Rs. 500,000 as their share, along with applicable registration, card issuance, transaction, and number plate fees, within the deadline mentioned in the allotment letter.
Authorities warned that any misrepresentation or discrepancy discovered during verification may result in rejection of the application or withdrawal of the subsidy.
The Agriculture Department reiterated that the scheme will be implemented strictly on merit and transparency, ensuring genuine farmers benefit from the initiative.
