The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has officially announced a laptop distribution scheme for blind and visually impaired students, along with a clear application procedure.
The initiative aims to provide modern educational tools to students with visual impairments, helping them continue their studies with greater independence and digital access. Under the scheme, eligible students from across the province can apply to receive laptops.

According to the Social Welfare Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, students enrolled in recognized colleges, universities, or religious seminaries are eligible to apply. Applicants must be permanent residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and must possess a valid disability certificate issued by the department.
How to Apply
Students are required to submit their applications through the online MIS form provided by the Social Welfare Department. Officials said the online process has been kept simple and accessible to ensure that visually impaired students do not face unnecessary difficulties.

Selection Criteria
Officials stated that laptops will be distributed based on merit and availability of funds. Students with strong academic performance and relevant skills will be given priority during the selection process.
The department added that the scheme is designed not only to support education but also to connect visually impaired students with the digital world, enabling better learning opportunities and future prospects.
