Gold prices continued their downward trend in both global and local markets, offering some relief to buyers.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold slipped by $6 per ounce, bringing it down to $4,438 per ounce.

Latest Gold Prices in Pakistan

In the local bullion market, 24-karat gold per tola became cheaper by Rs. 600, taking the new price to Rs. 466,162 per tola.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs. 515, settling at Rs. 399,658.

Silver Prices Also Decline

Silver prices also recorded a noticeable decrease:

  • Per tola silver fell by Rs. 236 to Rs. 8,125

  • 10 grams of silver declined by Rs. 203, now priced at Rs. 6,915

Comparison With Previous Rates

Just a day earlier, gold had already seen a sharp decline in international markets, falling by $12 per ounce to $4,444.
At that time, local prices stood at:

  • Rs. 466,762 per tola (after a Rs. 1,200 drop)

  • Rs. 401,173 per 10 grams (after a Rs. 1,028 reduction)

Silver prices had remained unchanged at Rs. 8,361 per tola during that session.

Market Context

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, fluctuations in global bullion prices and changing local demand continue to influence domestic rates.

Experts note that 70% of Pakistan’s gold demand is linked to weddings and social events, while the country remains heavily dependent on imports. Pakistan’s official gold reserves were recorded at 64.76 tonnes by the end of 2026, with an estimated value close to $9 billion.
