KP CM Announces Employment Plan for Degree Holders

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, has announced a major initiative aimed at providing employment opportunities to university graduates across the province.

Addressing a ceremony in Peshawar, the chief minister said that the provincial government is finalising a comprehensive youth policy focused on job creation and career development. He stated that students who complete their degrees will be supported through employment opportunities, reflecting the government’s commitment to the future of educated youth.

During his speech, the chief minister emphasized that Urdu is Pakistan’s national language and directed university administrations to ensure that official speeches and academic addresses are delivered in Urdu to promote wider understanding and inclusivity.

He also congratulated female students who earned degrees and gold medals, acknowledging their academic achievements. The chief minister added that the provincial government has increased the budget for higher education, aiming to strengthen universities and improve learning facilities.

In addition, he announced that development work on the road leading to Benazir Women University will begin from tomorrow, describing the project as part of broader efforts to improve infrastructure supporting educational institutions.

Officials said the announcements reflect the government’s intention to link higher education with practical employment outcomes, while also investing in education-related infrastructure across the province.
