Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) in Punjab Police have received positive news, as authorities have scheduled the next promotion board meeting.
According to police officials, the promotion board will meet on January 8 to consider DSPs for elevation to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP). A total of 150 DSPs are expected to be reviewed against 33 available SP positions during the meeting.

In addition, officials confirmed that 36 officers currently serving as SPs on an officiating basis will be granted regular promotions, addressing long-standing pending cases.
Police sources stated that the pre-board process for promotions from DSP to SP has been completed, and all required service records and documentation for eligible officers have been finalized ahead of the meeting.
Authorities also shared that another promotion committee meeting is expected later this month to review cases for promotions from Inspector to DSP, indicating continued progress in addressing career advancement matters within the department.
Officials said the scheduled boards are part of ongoing efforts to ensure timely promotions and administrative stability within Punjab Police.
