According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, bidders will be allowed to select two teams from a list of six shortlisted cities. The proposed cities include Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Rawalpindi, all of which are under consideration for PSL representation.

Strong Interest From Investors

The PCB has already confirmed details of 10 qualified bidders, highlighting strong commercial and corporate interest in the league’s expansion. From these bidders, two successful parties will secure ownership rights for the new franchises.

Officials say the inclusion of new teams is aimed at broadening the PSL’s regional footprint, increasing competitiveness, and creating new fan bases across the country.

PSL Expansion Milestone

The addition of two franchises will make PSL 11 the biggest edition in the league’s history, both in terms of team count and commercial scale. The auction outcome is expected to shape the future structure of the league for years to come.

Further details regarding franchise cities, branding, and ownership will be announced after the conclusion of the auction.
