As the Pakistan Super League moves closer to its long-awaited expansion, the Pakistan Cricket Board has officially confirmed the 10 groups cleared to bid for two new franchise licenses.
The bidding auction is scheduled to take place on January 8 at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad. The two successful bidders will become part of PSL 11, which is set to run from March 26 to May 3, 2026, expanding the league from six to eight teams.

According to PCB officials, the shortlisted bidders represent a wide mix of energy, telecom, fintech, real estate, media, and technology sectors, reflecting the PSL’s growing commercial appeal.
Confirmed Bidders for New PSL Teams

Inverex (Renewable Energy):
A well-known solar energy company in Pakistan, Inverex has prior experience as a PSL sponsor and brings strong corporate backing to the bidding process. -
OZ Group / OZI Developers (Real Estate):
Chaired by Hamza Majeed, the group operates in property development and has publicly shown interest in investing in sports and entertainment ventures. -
VGO Tel (Technology):
A Karachi-based mobile technology firm led by Naveed Gaba, highlighting interest from Pakistan’s tech sector. -
Jazz (Telecom):
One of Pakistan’s largest telecom companies and an existing PSL partner, Jazz’s entry signals strong confidence from an established corporate brand. -
DSM Tareen Group (Business & Sports):
Led by Ali Khan Tareen, the group is seeking a return to PSL ownership after previously parting ways with Multan Sultans. -
i2c (Fintech):
A global fintech platform founded by Pakistani-American entrepreneur Aamir Waien, representing international investor participation. -
Walee Tech (Media & Fintech):
A digital media and financial technology company aiming to leverage PSL’s massive audience reach. -
Prism Developers + Exchange ON (Property & Tech):
A joint bid combining real estate development with technology-driven business interests. -
Kingsmen Group (Investments):
An investment firm viewing PSL franchise ownership as a long-term commercial asset. -
Aim Next Inc (Tech & Innovation):
A technology-focused company targeting brand growth through sports ownership.
Next Step in PSL Expansion
The two winning bidders will be allowed to select home cities from a PCB-approved list, which includes Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, and Gilgit.
With this move, the PCB aims to broaden PSL’s regional footprint, attract new investors, and further strengthen Pakistan’s position in global T20 cricket.
