Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a major education and youth-support initiative, stating that 100,000 students will receive laptops, scholarships, and electric bikes during the current year.
The announcement was made during her meeting with a delegation of students from the National Workshop Balochistan, who are currently visiting Lahore. The delegation included male and female students from various educational institutions across Balochistan.

Addressing the students, the chief minister said that education and youth empowerment remain among the Punjab government’s top priorities. She announced that all students participating in the National Workshop Balochistan would be given laptops as a gesture of goodwill from the people of Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz said students are the true ambassadors of Pakistan and the country’s future leadership. She added that her becoming the first female chief minister of Punjab is not a personal achievement but an honor for women and daughters across Pakistan.
The chief minister highlighted that Punjab continues to provide opportunities without discrimination, noting that people from all provinces benefit from Punjab’s hospitals, universities, and social welfare programs. She cited examples such as the Children’s Heart Surgery Program and the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, which serve patients from across the country.
Speaking on governance, Maryam Nawaz said politics should be about public service rather than protocol. She claimed that corruption, favoritism, and bribery have been eliminated in Punjab, with officials now appointed through transparent processes.
She also pointed to improvements in law and order, healthcare, sanitation, and infrastructure, including free medical treatment in government hospitals, mobile health units, large-scale cleanliness drives, and major road projects.
Concluding her address, the chief minister reiterated that 100,000 students will benefit from laptops, scholarships, and electric bikes this year, calling it a step toward building a skilled, confident, and empowered youth for Pakistan’s future.
