After a minor decline in the interbank market, updates have also emerged from the open currency market.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar fell by one paisa in the interbank market, closing at Rs. 280.10, down from the previous rate of Rs. 280.11.
In the open market, the dollar remained unchanged at Rs. 281.15.
Meanwhile, other foreign currencies showed mixed movement. The euro declined by 88 paisas to Rs. 330.25, while the British pound fell by 68 paisas to Rs. 379.60.
On the other hand, the UAE dirham increased by 3 paisas to Rs. 77.25, and the Saudi riyal rose by 4 paisas to Rs. 75.42 in the open market.
Currency traders attributed the minor fluctuations to routine market adjustments and stable demand conditions.
