The Punjab Green Tractors Program is set to enter its third phase, with balloting for tractors expected to be held soon for eligible farmers across the province.
The Punjab Agriculture Department has announced the initiative as a special relief measure for farmers at the start of 2026, aiming to support mechanization in the agriculture sector.

According to media reports, 10,000 green tractors will be distributed under the program. These tractors will have engine capacities ranging from 50 to 65 horsepower, making them suitable for small and medium-scale farming operations.

Data shows that 98 percent of applicants preferred locally manufactured Pakistani tractors, while only 2 percent opted for imported, high-capacity models. Due to increasing interest in imported tractors, several foreign dealer companies have also established operations in Punjab.
