Cricket South Africa (CSA) has officially announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to be held in Sri Lanka and India.

Aiden Markram has been retained as captain, with experienced campaigners Quinton de Kock and David Miller included to provide stability and firepower in the batting lineup.

South Africa’s pace attack features a strong mix of experience and youth, led by Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Lungi Ngidi, alongside all-rounder Marco Jansen. Young fast bowler Kwena Maphaka has also earned a spot after impressive recent performances.

The Proteas have strengthened their all-round options with Donovan Ferreira, George Linde, Jason Smith, and Jansen, giving the side flexibility in both batting and bowling departments. Keshav Maharaj will spearhead the spin attack, with Linde providing additional spin support.

The T20 World Cup 2026 will begin on February 7 and conclude on March 8. South Africa have been placed in Group D alongside New Zealand, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada.

Several teams, including India, Australia, England, and Afghanistan, have already announced their squads as preparations intensify for the global event.

The tournament will open with a triple-header, featuring matches between Pakistan vs Netherlands, India vs USA, and West Indies vs Bangladesh.
