Pakistan’s aviation sector has received another boost as the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted permission to UK-based Norse Atlantic Airways to operate direct flights to Pakistan.
According to officials, Norse Atlantic will initially launch direct flight operations from London to Islamabad. The airline has also expressed its intention to expand services from Manchester and Birmingham in the near future, further strengthening air connectivity between the UK and Pakistan.

With this approval, Norse Atlantic becomes the second British airline to operate direct flights to Pakistan, alongside British Airways, which is already providing services on the route.
Sources within the Civil Aviation Authority said the entry of another foreign airline is expected to create new employment opportunities in Pakistan’s aviation sector and is being viewed as a positive development for the country’s economy.
Officials added that increased competition among international airlines will benefit passengers through improved services and greater travel options, particularly for overseas Pakistanis traveling between the UK and Pakistan.
