Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp correction on Tuesday, mirroring a steep downturn in the global bullion market as the year draws to a close.
According to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 10,700 during the day, settling at Rs. 459,462 in the local market.

Rates for 10 grams of gold also moved lower, falling by Rs. 9,174 to reach Rs. 393,914.
The latest decline follows a drop recorded a day earlier, when gold prices per tola had already slipped by Rs. 5,500, closing at Rs. 470,162.
In the international market, gold saw a significant fall of $107, pushing prices down to $4,371 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Silver prices also came under pressure, with the rate per tola decreasing by Rs. 145 to settle at Rs. 7,930.
