The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has issued a fresh advisory urging vehicle owners to complete their M-Tag registration immediately, as enforcement measures are set to begin from January 1.
Officials warned that vehicles lacking M-Tags will face restrictions once enforcement starts. To avoid inconvenience, citizens have been advised to visit the M-Tag registration center at Shakarparian Parade Ground well in advance, as last-minute rushes typically lead to long delays.

Anticipating a surge in registrations ahead of the deadline, authorities have enhanced arrangements at the Shakarparian facility. Additional counters have been established, and extra staff has been deployed to ensure faster processing and smoother operations.
According to officials, the M-Tag system is a key component of efforts to regulate vehicle movement and improve traffic flow across Islamabad. From January 1 onward, vehicles without M-Tags will be stopped from entering designated zones, and enforcement teams will take action without exception.
The administration reiterated that no leniency will be granted once the deadline passes. Citizens have also been advised to carry all required documents during registration to avoid unnecessary delays, even with the improved setup in place.
