Gold prices increased in Pakistan on Friday, tracking gains in international markets as investors awaited key U.S. inflation data.
In local trading, 24-karat gold was priced at Rs. 444,462 per tola, reflecting a Rs. 3,000 rise over the previous day.

The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also climbed, reaching Rs. 381,054 after an increase of Rs. 2,572, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). Meanwhile, 22-karat gold was quoted at Rs. 349,312 per 10 grams.
Silver followed the same trend. 24-karat silver sold at Rs. 6,072 per tola, up Rs. 72, and Rs. 5,205 per 10 grams, showing a Rs. 61 increase.
Globally, spot gold traded near $4,219 per ounce, up $13.1, or 0.31 percent, as markets positioned themselves ahead of upcoming U.S. inflation numbers expected to guide investor sentiment.
