Following special directions from the Chief Minister, exceptional cleanliness measures have been implemented throughout Lahore during the Basant festival.

The goal is to provide residents and visitors with a fresh, hygienic, and visually appealing city while festival activities continue.

Major Roads Undergo Full Washing Operations

Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) teams carried out complete washing operations on several key roads, including:

  • Mall Road

  • Upper Mall Road

  • Raiwind Road

  • Jati Umrah Road

  • Pine Avenue

  • Fazaia Road

In addition, special washing activities were conducted on Thokar Niaz Baig and Nazaria Pakistan Road.

Extra Cleaning Staff Deployed in Busy Areas

Authorities deployed additional cleaning staff in high-traffic and commercial zones such as:

  • Gulberg

  • MM Alam Road

  • Liberty Market

  • Main Boulevard

Special cleanliness measures were also taken on:

  • GOR-I

  • Seven Club Road

  • Eight Club Road

  • Gulf Road

Washing Completed in Several Localities

Officials confirmed that washing and cleaning work has already been completed in:

  • Jail Road

  • Shadman Main Road

  • Tollinton Market

Meanwhile, Gajjumata, Circular Road, Railway Station, and areas around Data Darbar also received washing and water sprinkling services.

Cleaning Operations to Continue Throughout Festival

According to LWMC, cleaning teams will remain active throughout all three days of the Basant festival.

Authorities say every possible resource is being used to ensure a clean, beautiful, and enjoyable atmosphere for the public.
