  • The Ramadan crescent is expected to be sighted on Wednesday, 18 February

  • The first fast is likely on Thursday, 19 February

Moon Birth Details

PMD stated that the new moon will be born on 17 February at 5:01 PM. By the evening of 18 February, the moon’s age and atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for visibility.

Karachi Observation Conditions

In Karachi, the moon’s age is expected to be around 26 hours on 18 February.

  • Sunset: 6:25 PM
  • Moonset: 7:24 PM

This time difference is considered suitable for moon sighting.

Final Decision

While forecasts provide scientific guidance, the official announcement will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal authorities after actual sighting reports.
