The Government of Punjab has unveiled a major initiative aimed at promoting financial independence among women by introducing an interest-free loan scheme for female entrepreneurs.
Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain stated that the scheme will be launched within the next two months.
Loan Details
Under the program:

Eligible women can receive up to Rs 500,000
-
Loans will be interest-free

Funds can be used to start a new business or expand an existing one
Who Can Apply?
The scheme will be implemented through the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC). Eligible applicants include:

Women graduating from business incubation centers

Skilled women and artisans
-
Aspiring entrepreneurs, especially from smaller cities
New Support Centers Planned
The minister also announced the establishment of:

Business Facilitation Center in Gujrat

Women Business Incubation Center
These centers will provide technical and entrepreneurial training along with institutional support.
Focus on Women’s Economic Participation
Officials said the goal is to increase women’s participation in business activities and reduce financial barriers that prevent many from starting enterprises.
The announcement was made during a meeting with the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gujrat delegation at PSIC House.
