Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a major welfare initiative aimed at supporting poor and unemployed individuals through free agricultural land.
Speaking at an event in Rajanpur, she introduced the program titled “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar.”
Free Land Allocation Plan
Under the scheme:

A total of 250,000 acres of agricultural land will be distributed

Eligible individuals will receive 3 to 5 acres each
The goal is to promote self-employment through farming and improve livelihoods in rural areas.
Support Through Kissan Card
Beneficiaries will also receive a Kissan Card, enabling them to obtain seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural inputs needed for crop cultivation.
Other Development Announcements
The Chief Minister directed authorities to establish Centers of Excellence in every tehsil and start Green Bus services across Punjab within a year.
She added that Rajanpur is not being ignored, highlighting development projects including the new electric bus service and construction of 72 roads costing Rs 12 billion.

Officials say the initiative aims to empower landless individuals, reduce unemployment, and strengthen the agricultural economy.
