Government Orders Enhanced Monitoring of Public Schools

The School Education Department has issued new directives to make the monitoring of government schools more effective and transparent by expanding the use of a digital monitoring system.

Under the new instructions, Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) will now conduct school inspections through an online monitoring application.

AEOs Directed to Use Monitoring App

According to official sources, the Secretary School Education has instructed all AEOs to log in to the monitoring application immediately. Each Assistant Education Officer will be provided with a separate and dedicated login ID to ensure accountability and accurate reporting.

From now on, school monitoring by AEOs will be carried out exclusively through this digital platform.

Existing System Expanded

Officials stated that the same monitoring application is currently being used by Monitoring and Evaluation Officers (MEOs) for monthly school inspections. With the inclusion of AEOs, the system will now cover broader and more frequent oversight of government schools.

Classroom Monitoring to Continue

In addition to overall school inspections, AEOs will continue classroom monitoring through the Classroom Observation Tool application, ensuring teaching standards and learning environments are regularly assessed.

Authorities confirmed that AEO login credentials will be generated immediately, allowing uninterrupted implementation of the new monitoring framework.

Step Towards Accountability and Transparency

Education officials believe the move will help improve school performance, teacher attendance, and service delivery, while also strengthening transparency and data-driven decision-making in the public education system.
