FPSC Releases Additional Guidelines for CSS 2026 Written Examination

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has issued additional instructions for registered candidates appearing in the CSS 2026 written examinations, which are scheduled to begin in February.

The commission has urged all candidates to strictly follow both previously issued and newly announced guidelines to avoid any inconvenience on exam day.

Mandatory Identification Requirement

According to FPSC, candidates must ensure that their CNIC or passport is valid before appearing in the examination.

  • Expired identification documents will not be accepted

  • Entry into the examination hall will be denied without valid ID

Candidates are advised to renew their documents well in advance.

Reporting Time for Candidates

FPSC has directed candidates to:

  • Arrive at the examination center at least 50 minutes before the start of the paper

  • Take their assigned seats on time

Late arrival may result in disqualification from appearing in the exam.

The commission has also imposed a strict ban on carrying extra materials inside the examination hall.

Prohibited items include:

  • Stencils

  • Notes

  • Extra papers

  • Any unauthorized study material

Only permitted stationery items will be allowed.
