Important Announcement for Pakistanis Planning to Perform Hajj

An important update has been issued for Pakistanis intending to perform Hajj this year, as Saudi biometric verification has been declared mandatory for obtaining a Hajj visa.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, pilgrims are advised to complete their Saudi biometric verification at home using the Saudi Visa Bio mobile application.

Biometric Verification Now Compulsory

Officials clarified that Hajj visas will not be issued without biometric verification. Pilgrims who are unable to complete the process through the mobile app must visit a Saudi Tasheer Center before February 8.

Authorities warned that failure to complete biometrics will result in visa rejection, making timely completion essential.

Hajj Training Workshops Also Mandatory

Earlier, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf stated that attendance in both phases of Hajj training workshops is compulsory. Speaking at a Hajj camp, he emphasized that pilgrims who do not attend training risk missing the opportunity to perform Hajj.

More than 200 training workshops are currently being held across Pakistan. The first phase will continue until February 14, while the second phase will take place after Ramadan.

Why Hajj Training Is Important

The training sessions aim to educate pilgrims about:

  • Proper performance of Hajj rituals
  • Saudi laws and arrangements
  • Crowd safety and accident prevention
  • Discipline, patience, and collective worship

Officials noted that lack of training can lead to mistakes and disorder during Hajj.
