In preparation for Basant, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has decided to install safety nets at grid stations to protect power infrastructure from kite-flying related incidents.
As part of these safety measures, electricity supply will remain suspended in several areas of Lahore on Tuesday, January 27, due to installation work at key grid stations.
Power Suspension at Mochi Gate Grid Station
According to LESCO, safety net installation at Mochi Gate Grid Station will result in a power outage from:
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

LESCO CEO Engineer Ramzan Butt stated that, following instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a comprehensive safety strategy has been implemented to secure the electricity system during Basant.
