Punjab Government Introduces T-Cash Card for Cashless Public Transport

The Punjab government, through the Punjab Transport Company, has accelerated efforts to establish a modern, unified, and cashless transport system across the province by launching the T-Cash Card initiative.

So far, more than 130,000 citizens have applied for the T-Cash Card, while over 66,000 users have already received their cards in the initial phase. The strong public response reflects growing interest in digital and contactless travel solutions.

One Card for Multiple Transport Services

With the T-Cash Card, passengers can travel using a single card on:

  • Metro Bus

  • Orange Line Train

  • Speedo Bus

  • E-Bus Services

This system eliminates the need for cash-based ticketing, making travel faster, safer, and more transparent for daily commuters.

T-Cash Card Can Also Be Used as a Debit Card

According to officials, the T-Cash Card will function not only as a transport pass but also as a debit card, allowing users to carry out everyday financial transactions.

The card is being issued in accordance with the State Bank of Pakistan’s regulations, ensuring security and compliance with national banking standards.

How to Apply for the T-Cash Card

Citizens can apply through multiple platforms:

  • Official web portal

  • E-Transit mobile application

  • Dedicated helpline

After processing, the card will be delivered directly to the applicant’s home. Applicants can also track their request status via the website, mobile app, or helpline.

A Step Towards Smart Urban Mobility

Experts believe that the T-Cash Card project will play a major role in promoting smart mobility, reducing congestion at ticket counters, and encouraging digital payments in Punjab’s transport sector.
